LA MUERTE MÁS CRUEL

This 84-minute documentary [English: the most cruel death] portrays the drama of nursing homes at the peak of the 2020 pandemic. COVID-19 took its rage out on elderly people in nursing homes, who were denied medical care, consolation and in many cases, a final chance to be with their loved ones. More than 30,000 elderly people died in nursing homes in only six months, alone and cruelly. It could have been avoided. Coproduced by EL PAÍS in collaboration with Quality, it was directed by Belén Verdugo, with a script by José María Izquierdo and Eva Catalán ,and executive production by Javier Reyes.

FÓRMULA E, EL SUEÑO ELÉCTRICO

The Formula E World Championship has been a genuine turning point for urban mobility with electric vehicles. This documentary [English: Formula E: the electric dream], an initiative of the International Automobile Federation, was led by a team of Spanish entrepreneurs who, from London, have created a revolutionary motor racing championship: electric cars racing on city streets. This 30-minute documentary recounts the competition’s beginnings and takes a deeper look at the technology and environmental sustainability factors that have made the Formula E a great success among its audience, drivers and brands alike. It was broadcast by RTVE and various regional television channels.

EL FIN DE ETA

El fin de ETA [English: the demise of ETA] is a 104-minute documentary directed by prestigious British director Justin Webster, with a script by José María Izquierdo and Luis Aizpeolea.

TESTIMONIOS REALES DE ETA

In the voice of its protagonists, Testimonios reales de ETA [English: real stories of ETA] tells the long and complex story leading to the dissolution of the terrorist group ETA. The documentary incorporates all perspectives, from victims to ETA militants, including the politicians who made it possible to put an end to the organisation, and the police authorities that oversaw the process

LAGUN Y LA RESISTENCIA FRENTE A ETA

The film Lagun y la resistencia frente a ETA [English: Lagun and resistance to ETA] pays tribute to the anonymous people who resisted the terrorist organisation, especially Lagun Library in San Sebastián, which was attacked by the Franco dictatorship, only to be subsequently attacked by the terrorist group. This 86-minute documentary was co-produced by RTVE, ETB, IB3 and Quality Media.
